The game announced in September is being led by Amy Hennig, former creative director for the Uncharted series, and will be set during World War II. The upcoming game is different from the Marvel Games and Skydance New Media collaboratiob starring Captain America and Black Panther. "Wakanda is a rich SuperHero sandbox, and our mission is to develop an epic world for players who love Black Panther and want to explore the world of Wakanda as much as we do." While this is all pretty vague, it does give off ever so slight open world hints. "We’re dedicated to delivering fans a definitive and authentic Black Panther experience, giving them more agency and control over their narrative than they have ever experienced in a story-driven video game," Stephens said in a statement. ![]() ![]() Stephens also worked on Halo, God of War, and Call of Duty. The studio is led by Kevin Stephens, former studio chief of Monolith Productions, having worked on both Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War.
